About the Trainer

A South Carolina lowcountry native, Alicia’s love for dogs started at a young age.

Alicia grew up around police K-9s and often attended their training sessions.  She was fascinated by the capabilities of dogs and how much they thrive when being nurtured and supported in a job that they love.

Her first job was working as a dog washer and she continued on to learn grooming and all about holistic foods and treats. She is still passionate about how the food each dog consumes impacts their day-to-day health and wellness. One of her current interests include baking homemade treats for her dogs at home.

After graduating, Alicia got her first show dog, an American Staffordshire Terrier (check out our logo for a tribute to her). They competed in AKC and UKC shows where they ultimately championed. To broaden her interest, Alicia began taking her dog dock-diving and to fly-ball competitions. She truly enjoyed training her own dog for obedience, tricks, and sports, which is how she knew she would truly enjoy training other dogs; and training their humans how to engage them in the best ways.

For the past five years, Alicia has trained dozens of dogs and her passion stems from watching as they positively develop in the training process. She loves watching the dog really engage in their work and training and is confident in her ability to help her clients be the best dog owners!
